The free-dvd-maker lets you create and burn your collection of movies onto DVDs from all types of video formats such as AVI to DVD, MPEG, WMV, DivX, XviD, MP4 and FLV. You can burn your DVD movies on DVD+RW/-RW and DVD+R/-R. You can create photo slideshows with music.

The free-dvd-maker allows you to choose detailed or thumbnail views making it easier to use. To add files to the video, you just drag, drop or click add files. The movie clips can be moved up or down to arrange them in the order that you desire for playback. After you have added your clips, you will be able to choose your settings from the menu bar. You can choose between NTSC or PAL TV formats, and you can use 16:9 or 4:3 formats for your video. The zoom modes allow you to choose letterbox, stretch or pan-and-scan settings.

The free-dvd-maker offers you an advanced setting that will let you customize your DVD even more. It offers you options for including different size fonts and buttons for your DVD menus. You can choose from dozens of menu templates to personalize your DVD. This program allows you to add title text, background images, background music and other details. Some of the free makers will allow you to save your work to burn later, but some makers will not save your file. You will be able to preview your DVD in a thumbnail view before burning. Once you’re satisfied with your preview, you will click burn to create your DVD. The burning process does not take long. That is, the duration depends on your computer's speed. You will be able to keep track of the progress by looking at each clip’s progress line.
